Problem:
Small business owners in low income settlements often lack financial products that fit their needs, while SACCOs serve users with low digital confidence within limited IT infrastructure. This creates a challenge we sought to solve by combining HCD and the 8Ps. HCD ensures solutions meet real user needs, while the 8Ps ensure they are viable and work in the market.

Solution/Outcome:
We applied Human-Centered Design (HCD) alongside 8Ps principles. We captured user insights and facilitated co-creation of new digital financial products. Prototype testing provided iterative feedback into the design of both productive credit and goal-based savings products.
This work produced actionable personas and segmentation insights that informed targeting, product development, service design, and go-to-market execution to deliver the new digital products to an expanded clientele base.
